Since Rainbow Bend Lodges is located on the banks of the Naknek River, on the road system of King Salmon, we can pick you up at the King Salmon airport and drive you directly to our lodge on the Naknek River. In other words, there are no overhead costs of having to get a rental car to access our lodge or take a bush plane flight, which is common when it comes to remote Alaskan fishing experiences.
Second, we are a self-guided operation at Rainbow Bend Lodges. Typically, we’ll take you out fishing for one day on the Naknek River, showing you how to navigate the river and where the best fishing holes are located. From there, you’re on your own to fish when you please. This means there are no guide fees to incur every day you fish, which helps keeps costs down on your end.
Third, Rainbow Bend Lodges is a do-it-yourself destination when it comes to your own cooking. Simply bring a cooler full of food to last you the week, and that’s what you’ll cook during your stay with us.
